Emelda Treuter Sharai passed away peacefully on Friday morning, December 25, 2015. She was 102 years old. Beloved wife of the late Frank S. Sharai. Loving mother of Stephen T. Sharai (Danielle). Stepmother of the late Taylor “Johnny” Sharai (Phyllis). Grandmother of Blake S. Sharai, Cole N. Sharai, John E. Sharai, Sr., Matthew T. Sharai, and the late Mark L. Sharai. Great-grandmother of Lily E. Sharai, John E. Sharai, Jr. (Allison), and the late Pierce T. Sharai, Brigitte M. Sharai, and Abigail H. Sharai. Daughter of the late Clarence and Antoinette Treuter. Sister of the late Mildred T. Navarro. She was a native and lifelong resident of the New Orleans area. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services at FAITH LUTHERAN CHURCH, 300 Colonial Club Drive, Harahan, on Tuesday morning, December 29, 2015 at 11:30. Visitation will begin at 10:00 in church. Interment will follow in Hope Mausoleum, New Orleans. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory to Faith Lutheran Memorial Fund are preferred.
