Mrs. Eva Oaks Eastin

Eva Oaks Eastin, age 93, passed away April 8, 2010 at her residence at the Atrium at Lafreniere in Metairie, LA. She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Linden Eastin and is survived by her son John (JL) Eastin. She was the last survivor of eight children of John S. and Cora Bach Oaks. She lived with her husband in Winchester, Kentucky until poor health forced their relocation to Metairie. She was a school teacher and taught in the Clark and Fayette County school systems until her retirement. She was a former Sunday School teacher and member of the First Baptist Church of Winchester, KY.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at 11 am on Wednesday, April 14, 2010 in the Chapel of Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Dr., Metairie.
