

Frederick “Fritz” Duncan Parham II, age 87, passed away peacefully on the evening of November 16, 2024, in Metairie, Louisiana. Mr. Parham was born in New Orleans, Louisiana on January 13, 1937, to Frederick Duncan Parham and Mary Elisabeth Floyd.
Fritz's early education was completed at Metairie Park Country Day, where he graduated in 1955. He pursued higher education at Tulane University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Arts and Sciences in 1962, followed by an MBA in 1964. He enjoyed a distinguished career as a computer systems analyst, working for several prominent companies, including IBM, STC, Entergy, and SAIC.
Fritz was known for his intellect, kindness, and a unique quirkiness that endeared him to all who knew him. He was fond of reading non-fiction and enjoyed spending time on his computer, pursuits that reflected his lifelong love of learning.
Fritz was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sadaye Okubo Parham, and is survived by his daughter, Adele Daniel (Robert), and his granddaughter, Alice Daniel. He also leaves behind his sister, Mitylene Arnold (T. Gerard), his nephew, Troy Arnold, and his niece, Elisabeth Weiss (Marty). Fritz's memory will be forever cherished by his family and friends, who will miss his warmth and wit.
Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a Memorial Service at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd., Metairie, LA on Tuesday, December 10, 2024, at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be from 9:30 AM until 11:00 AM.
