Gail Thomas O'Neill passed away on May 3, 2024 at the age of 83. She was born in New Orleans and lived most of her life in Metairie. She was the beloved wife of Richard L. O'Neill, Sr. for 63 years, and the mother of Richard Jr. (Monique), Davy, and Michael (Jill) O'Neill. Gail was a devoted grandmother to her four grandchildren (Matthew, Vincent, Caleb, and Breanne). She was the daughter of the late George John Thomas and Mildred Ferry Thomas. She is survived by her brother George John Thomas, Jr. (Sylvia). Her life was filled with the joys of rearing three sons, taking cruises, and hosting card games; but playing tennis with her many friends at Johnny Bright Playground and the Beach Club was her passion. Visitation is scheduled for 10am Monday, May 13 at St. Clement of Rome Church, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11am.
