Gerard "Jerry" Krummel

On Sunday, May 6, 2012, Gerard Krummel, “Jerry”, entered into eternal rest from home. He was surrounded by his loving family and his beloved pet, “Peanut”. He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Helen Carrigan Krummel; his brother, William Krummel, Jr.; his stepson, Joseph Elmo Sepulvado and his daughter, Pamela Ann Krummel. He was the beloved husband of 60 years to Annie Grace Ebarb Krummel. Cherished father of Jimmy, Jerry, and Victoria Augusta Krummel (Mike Gallagher). Brother of Gwen Bertucci. Grandfather of 8 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and loving uncle to a host of nieces and nephews. Jerry was a graduate of St. Aloysius class of 1947. He was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War. He worked as a longshoremen for Lykes Brothers for 48 years. He was an avid golfer his entire life and he also enjoyed going to the park to feed the ducks with his family. Jerry will be greatly missed by his friends and family. He will forever be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and loyal friend to his golfing buddies. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Blvd., near Clearview Pkwy., in Metairie, LA on Thursday morning, May 10, 2012 beginning at 9:00 AM with a Funeral Mass to follow at 11:00 AM in Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home’s chapel.
