Gertrude “Sissy” Dendinger Delcarpio passed peacefully into eternal life on Thursday, March 8, 2012. She was born on October 16, 1927 in New Orleans, LA, and was 84 years old at the time of death. She was preceded in death by her husband, Junior Delcarpio, her parents, Joseph George Dedinger and Mary Elizabeth Zeeb, and her grandson, John Joseph Bowes. She is survived by four children-Joseph B. (Kathryne), Darlene T. Varuso, Glenn P. (Carol) and Allan J. (Beverly); 8 grandchildren-Glenn “Glennie” Delcarpio, Jr., Angel Landry
(Scott), Tennille Leonick (Chris), Kathryne Barras (Michael), Thomas Delcarpio, Jack Varuso, Jr., Cecil Woods, Ross Woods, and Carol Roberts; 14 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
