Glen Charles Halder

1 December, 198316 September, 2020

Glen Charles Halder passed away on September 16, 2020 at the age of 36. He was born on December 1, 1983 to Carlos and Valerie Halder and grew up in St. Rose. Glen was a nuclear security officer at Waterford 3 for 12 years and was a long time resident of Destrehan. Glen was the devoted husband of Angel Halder for 16 years and was a loving father to Eliana and Moriah. He will be remembered as a man of great faith and resolve, who was hard working and devoted his whole life to his family. Through all of life’s blessings and hardships, Glen exemplified a life of freedom and contentment, keeping a positive outlook and a fighter’s spirit with him to the end. With his wife and girls by his side, Glen fought the good fight of faith, never giving up hope in a miraculous healing encounter. On his wife’s 36th birthday, Glen passed from this life to enter eternal paradise, and while the sting of his loss remains with us here, we find peace in knowing that Glen has received his miracle healing. His fondest and most cherished memories will rest with those who loved him most. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Riley Isabella Halder. He is survived by his wife, Angel Halder, daughters, Eliana Praise Halder and Moriah Glynn Halder, and parents, Carlos and Valerie Halder. He is also survived by 1 sister and 5 brothers.

Friends and family are invited to attend a celebration of Glen’s life on Monday, September 28 at Victory Fellowship, 5708 Airline Dr. Metairie, LA. Visitation will be held from 9AM-10AM, with a memorial service from 10AM-12PM. No flowers please, just keep Glen's family in your thoughts and prayers. An online guestbook is available at

I sure miss you more than anything in this world. I never imagined doing life without you but all I can hear is what you have always told me “Angel, you are much stronger than you give yourself credit for” ... it’s honestly how I am able to keep going. I think about you everyday. You were always on my mind when we were married and you are still always on my mind. I hurt knowing that our girls will grow up without you but I rest knowing you are no longer suffering. I would do it all again if I had too ... that’s how much I love you and always will. Serving you was the biggest honor of my life. My heart still hurts. I will never get over this. I was truly blessed with “His” best... I never met anyone like you, Jesus knew just what I needed when he gave me you. Those are the same exact words you last spoke to me and I feel the same about you. When we meet again you better give me a huge kiss .

When I think of Glen Halder the words stalwart and steadfast come to mind. Although I knew him briefly he had an impact on my life, and on my faith as a Christian. No mortal man is perfect, but a person would be hard pressed to name someone who embodied Christian values and virtues the way Glen did. He put his faith in God, and did not waiver. Although he remained humble he touched the lives of many. I’m very sorry for your loss.

With deepest sympathy I would like to give my condolences to Glenn's wife and daughters, and his entire family. I met Glenn here at Waterford 3 as a nuclear security officer. He was a man of strong faith as he and I would talk about life in general and about the faith we shared in knowing the Lord and savior of this world Jesus Christ. He will be missed but we as believers know that weeping will endure for a moment, but joy comes in the morning.

I'm very sorry to hear this... Glen was a good friend and childhood buddy... I grew up with him from St. Rose primary and graduated from destrehan high together... He was a very cool friend and very easy to get along with... This hurt my heart to know a good man that I know is on his departure... My deepest condolences to his family...

Our Family will miss Glen terrible. What will we do without you Glen? Everyday you were there and your smile and kind tender heart touched your family and others.
I’ll never forget when my daughter Angel brought Glen to our home for us to meet him. My husband Cary and I fell in love with him. Glen was so kind and good to Angel. Glen was a perfect fit in our family. Glen & Angels children Eliana Praise and Moriah Glynn will miss their daddy Terribly however they have many good memories to remember that are captured on YouTube with Glen. Glen the Family loves you and this is only temporary. We will all see you again and again, forever and ever. Thanking Jesus for eternal life the never ending love Of God will never end. Nor shall anything separate us from one another. Angel was with Glen every step of the way. Angel was sweetly devoted in every way. This love you two had for one another is seen to all.

Angel and girls, Our heartfelt condolences and prayers for you all and both families. You don't know us, we follow your Parents, LatterRain Ministries online, we heard about you through them. We had been praying/believing for Glen, for healing, so sorry that did not happen here but we know he is healthy and happy now! He sounds like your very special Man and Daddy! God knows all, we trust in him, always will, because he is God.
I lost two siblings recently, in June/July, a month, 6 days apart, we could not see them in hospitals, rehabs. My Sis came home for 2 days, after a massive stroke and we realized she prayed herself home, before going to her heavenly home, to spend precious time with her 3 children and all her Grandkids and great-Grandkids. God's glory was on her face the night we went to visit her, an hour, more like 45 minutes, before she had her last stroke, at 68 yrs old. We were not expecting it, she had medical miracles until then, nor my Brother, almost 80, his heart just stopped in a few minutes and he was gone a month later. I think he finally realized she was gone and said "Oh, heck no I aint staying either!!" We did not know how to tell him, they were very close.
Our continued prayers for you and the girls, we know God is with you and will help you through it all, as He is us. It won't be long til we all reunite in Glory!
God richly bless and keep you.
Much love in Jesus,
Jan and Ralph Ramirez

My man! You will be missed! During my few post checks at work I enjoyed our conversations about life, work, and family. You were always positive and never negative about anything. I can still hear you yelling my name “Wiltz” when ever you saw me. Rest my friend and may God watch over your family! Thank you for being such a positive force in my life you are a true Warrior!

I've worked with Glen for 12 years and have never heard him say a negative thing about any situation. The one quality I'll remember most about Glen is that infectious smile, you never saw any other expression on this young man's face. Like most Louisianians, Glen loved talking about dem Saints and was good at playing the Monday Morning Quarterback too. Rest In Heaven Glen, as you will be sorely missed. Condolences to Angel, Eliana, Moriah & the entire Halder Family.
