Henry James Eastin III

Henry James Eastin, III passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 17, 2012 at the age of 83. He is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years Yvonne Horstmann Eastin; his sons, Ashley and Troy; his daughter-in-law, Tiffany Wright Eastin; 5 grandchildren, Whitney, Saige, Sierra, Christian and Lauren; his sister-in-law, Althea H. Pusateri and numerous nieces and nephews. Henry is preceded in death by his loving mother and father, Henry Eastin and Isabelle Condon Eastin; his brother, Earl Eastin; his sisters, Audrey E. Schivone and Inez E. Servat; his brothers-in-law, Leo Schivone, Leonard Servat and John Pusateri and his nephew, Leonard E. Servat. Mr. Eastin was a proud U.S. Army veteran, serving in the Korean War. After retiring from the J.C. Penney Company he spent the rest of his life enjoying time with his family and working with his close friend Charles Margaavio at Bayou Belts LLC. He was truly a people person and will be dearly missed by many. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the memorial visitation at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Blvd., near Clearview Pkwy., in Metairie, LA on Tuesday morning, July 24, 2012 beginning at 9:00 AM with a Memorial Mass to follow at 11:00 AM in Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home’s chapel. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to the American Heart Association or The American Diabetes Association would be greatly appreciated.
