Jack James Ford Jr.

Jack James Ford, Jr. age 42, passed away on Sunday, February 15, 2016. Loving and devoted father of Brooke Monteforte. High School sweetheart of many years to Sherri Monteforte. Son of Margarita Luz Gutierrez Ford and the late Jack James Ford, Sr. He is survived by his sister Christina Michelle Ford and his brother James S. Ford (Betina). Uncle of Jennifer Hughes(Josh) and Shane Yurkus. Great-uncle of Jennifer’s children, Skyler, Tyler, Julia, and Konner. Jack was a loving brother and son but his pride and joy was his daughter, Brooke. Jack grew up in Kenner, Louisiana and graduated from Bonnabel High School. He was a talented carpenter who built many houses before changing his career to work on the Mississippi River as a crewman on tugboats. He will be missed but always remembered by his family and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Funeral Mass on Thursday February 25, 2016 at 7:00 PM. Visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd., Metairie, Louisiana 70006.
