Jack Rider Maignaud

Jack Rider Maignaud Sr., born in Houston TX, on December 24, 1937 and went to be with his Lord and Savior on October 13, 2014. Jack was the son of Wilbur Victor Maignaud, Sr. and James Elizabeth Grammer Maignaud. Jack was predeceased by his first wife of 40 years, Carol Herbsleb Maignaud and his son, James Edward Maignaud. Jack is survived by his loving second wife of 12 years, Elaine Heigle Servary. He leaves behind his cherished children, Stacy L. Burns, Jack R Maignaud, Jr. (Ruby), Tammy J. Stambolis (Matthew), and Robert J. Maignaud (Tammy). Two step daughters, Dawn Springler (Julian), and Stephanie Servary. Jack had 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren, a brother Wilbur V. Maignaud, Jr. (Shirley). Jack will be sadly missed, but lovingly remembered by them, as well as, many nieces and nephews, his extended Heigle Family, and all his friends. Jack was a BSA Scout Master and a District Commissioner for 20 years. Jack lived in the Metairie area for the past 12 years. He was a member of "The Back to the Fifties" dance club where he enjoyed being their photographer. He retired from the Pappas Company, a chain of restaurants, for 35 years. Jack was a parishioner of St. Benilde Catholic Church where he converted to Catholicism. The family would like to gratefully thank Notre Dame Hospice, especially, Christina, Deacon Joe, Vilma and Vernetta. Also Chateau De Notre Dame Nursing Home, especially Kendle, Sheila and those who showed Jack compassion and dignity. Services will be held on Saturday October 25, 2014 at St. Benilde Catholic Church, 1901 Division Street, Metairie, LA at 11:00 am followed by a mass at 12:00 noon.
