Jerry Lynn Cranford

Jerry L. Cranford, Ph. D. passed away on Saturday, May 6, 2023, at the age of 81. He was born in Heber Springs, Arkansas and was a longtime resident of Metairie, Louisiana. He was a retired professor from LSU Health Sciences Center. He was a member of the Society for Neuroscience, the International Brain Research Organization, the Association for Research in Otolaryngology, the American Auditory Society, the Fellow American Academy of Audiology and the American Speech - Language - Hearing Association.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Frances B. Cranford, two stepdaughters, Sandy Schaeffer (Michael) and Brenda Hegwood (Lance), a brother, Jim Cranford (Linda), four grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Irma Birdsong Cranford and Dean Cranford.
