John E. "Buddy" Curry Jr.

John E. “Buddy” Curry, Jr. passed away quietly on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at the age of 90. He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, June Kerrigan Curry; his sister, Rosemary Curry Abadie; his brother, Roger Leroy Curry and his parents, John E. Curry, Sr. and Viola Fritz Curry. Buddy was a retiree of Illinois Central Railroad, D.H. Holmes and Radiofone. He is survived by his three children and their spouses, Judy C. Burke (Richard “Dick” Burke), John E. Curry, III (Betty Lou Labarre Curry) and Edward K. Curry (Audra Crosby Curry); his grandchildren, Sean P. Burke (Wendy Deal Burke), Kelly R. Burke (Amy Arnemann Burke), Joanna C. Cottrell (Casey Cottrell), Elizabeth L. Curry, Christina C. Parrish (Griff Parrish) and Edward K. Curry, Jr. He is also survived by nine great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and one brother-in-law. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd., near Clearview Pkwy., in Metairie on Thursday, January 15, 2015 beginning at 11:00 AM with a Funeral Mass to follow at 1:00 PM in Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home’s chapel.
