John David Fowler passed away on Friday, November 20, 2015 at his home surrounded by his family. He was the son of Lemoine Fowler and Sara Evans Fowler and was born in Indianapolis, IN on February 11, 1937. After he graduated high school he attended the University of Indiana for a semester and then enrolled into the United States Air Force. Following his service, he moved to New Orleans and met the love of his life, Shirlie Anita Fowler. They married shortly after on August 23, 1964. He leaves behind his daughters Anastasia Fowler Callejo (husband Gail), Nickie Fowler Barr (husband James), grandchildren Xander Callejo; and Sara, Matthew, and James Barr.
Services will be held at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Blvd Metairie, LA 70006 on Saturday, November 11, 2017. Visitation from 1pm to 3pm followed by a celebration of life service at 3pm.
