Kaa F. Blue II

Kaa was born June 10, 1946, in New Orleans to George and Elizabeth Blue. Kaa married Susan Wakefield, his devoted wife of 53 years, on April 1, 1972.

Kaa attended Metairie Park Country Day School and graduated in 1964. He was an active alumnus and enjoyed going to his reunion each year, which he recently attended his 61st. Kaa continued his education at LSU earning a Bachelor of Science and graduating in 1969. He worked his entire career as a dedicated insurance agent. He also served in the Army National Guard.

Kaa was an active member of the Southern Yacht Club for many years where he was an avid sailor and won many trophies racing in regattas. He enjoyed woodworking and fixing just about anything he could get his hands on. He completely rebuilt his family’s home from the ground up after Hurricane Katrina. Kaa lived to eat and loved all foods, especially sweets and ice cream.

Kaa is survived by his wife, Susan Wakefield Blue; his son, Christian Wagner; his daughter, Courtney Blue Comeaux; his son-in-law, Brett Comeaux: two grandchildren, Caden and Marlee Comeaux; his brother-in-law, Douglas Wakefield (Faith); his sister, Leslie Blue Stephens (Tony) and many nieces and nephews.

Kaa was preceded in death by his son, Kaa “Kasey” F. Blue III; his parents, George and Elizabeth Blue; his brother, George R. Blue, Jr; his brother-in-law, Robert T. Wakefield and his in-laws, Tom and Mary Jane Wakefield.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd., Metairie, LA on Thursday, July 17, 2025, beginning at 11:00 AM with a funeral service to follow at 1:00 PM in Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home’s chapel. Burial at Metairie Cemetery will immediately follow Kaa’s service.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to the Louisiana Cancer Foundation.
