Katy was a member of the Crescent Bird Club since 2008. She loved seeing birds and would often call me to tell me what she was seeing in Couturie Forest in City Park.She was always ready for another field trip adventure. We will all miss her enthusiasm. I will always see her strolling down the trail with her big brimmed hat on. I wish to offer her family my condolences.

I lit a real candle at the Cathedral yesterday and requested prayers be said for her peace in eternity.  We can be there only in spirit today as we are on our own medical roller coaster but my thoughts and prayers are with her family.  Love, Penny

Jeff, Andy and Waddy, so very sorry to hear of your loss.  I grew up with Katy on Glenwood Dr in Old Metairie.  She was a lovely girl and we had a lot of fun times together. Sorry that I won't be there today because of another commitment. I'll be with you in thought and prayer.

She was like a second mom and best friend to me when we were neighbors. She definately will me missed!

City Park Greenhouse needs to have a memorial as well! And Rock N Bowl, And Tipitina's, and Dunkin', and Elmwood, - none of these places are going to be the same without her. Any plants you collect- I will plant in her honor! I am so sorry - this was so unexpected! I miss my friend a lot!
