Lily Theresa Bordelon

Lily T. Bordelon passed away on Wednesday, February 8, 2012. Beloved wife of Stanley J. Bordelon, Sr. after 54 years of sacred marriage. Loving mother of Ramona C. Fogarty (and husband, John), Cindy A. Mitchell (and husband, Eric), Stanley J. Bordelon Jr. (and wife, BernaDean) and Vicky A. Bordelon. Proud grandmother of Lauren, Reneé and Jason Fogarty her little "Cajun Boy"and Stacey Halphen. Daughter of the late Edith and Edmund Trahan. Sister of Enite Weekly and the late Dallas Trahan, Eunice Leger, Mary Simon and Wallace Trahan. Also survived by many cherished nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Lily was a native of Abbeville, Louisiana, and a resident of Metairie, Louisiana, for the past 55 years. Lily was a parishioner of St. Mary Magdalen Catholic Church and will be loved and missed by all who knew her. She loved traveling all across America, from Canada to Las Vegas to Alaska to New York spending time with her family and friends. She also liked visiting Casino's, and listening to Cajun music and dancing! She loved family gatherings and spending time with her family and grandchildren. She was a wonderful cook and enjoyed cooking for her family and friends, which will be sadly missed! The family would like to express a special heartfelt "Thank You" to V-Ann Richmond, Lynne Comeaux and Nancy Weaver for the love and care that they provided to her, "Her Guardian Angels". Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service from Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home Chapel 4747 Veterans Blvd. Metairie, on Monday afternoon February 13, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. Interment in St. Charles Borromeo Cemetery.
