Born in Bristol, TN, she was the daughter of the late Malcolm Campbell Thomas and Bess Virginia Thomas. In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her beloved siblings, Gale Kanipes, Jimmy Thomas and John Thomas, all of Oak Ridge, TN, and a dear cousin, Carolyn Evans and her husband, James Evans, of Virginia Beach, VA.
Left to cherish her memory are her beloved husband of 64 years, Philip J. Lobell, Jr.; five children, Tommy (Shirley), Patty (Chris), Philip (Julie), Shannon (Aaron), and Lindy Anne Lobell; 10 grandchildren: Michael Case (Tara), Brooke Lobell, Andrew LaBorde, Grant LaBorde, Julia LaBorde, Quinn Champagne, Matthew Sells, Thomas Sells, Daniel Thompson, and Samantha Thompson and a great-grandson, Joseph.
In addition to her own children, “Nunnie”, as she was affectionately called, cared for and loved dozens of other babies and young children over the years at her in-home daycare.
The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses in the ICU of East Jefferson General Hospital for taking such good care of our wife, mother, and grandmother. You are all angels on earth.
