Linda T. Norton

Linda Helen Turlich Norton passed away peacefully on Monday, July 25, 2022 at the age of 80. Beloved wife of Calvin V. Norton for almost 60 years. Beloved mother of Lisa N. Fascio; grandmother of Dominic Fascio; great-grandmother of Kadin Fascio and Julian Grigg; sister of Kathleen Turlich and aunt of Denise Cortez. She is also survived by numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Shafton J. Turlich and Mildred I. Dellsperger; her daughter, Elizabeth Ann Norton and her niece, Michelle D. McGee. She was a native of New Orleans, Louisiana and a resident of Houston, Texas for the past 22 years. Linda was a graduate of East Jefferson High School Class of 1959. She was a Girl Scout in her youth and went on to be a Brownie, Junior, and Cadette Troop Leader. She also served as a troop leader trainer and a certified primitive camping trainer for over forty years. For her many years of volunteer work with the Girl Scouts, in 1992, she was given a Best in the West award by the Best in the West Committee.

She was a thoughtful and loving mother and friend to all who knew her. She did her best to take care of everyone she knew and loved. She will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 29, 2022 at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Blvd. in Metairie from 9:00 am - 11:00 am followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 am. Interment will be in St. Vincent de Paul no. 3 Cemetery in New Orleans.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Linda’s name to the Girl Scouts USA, Louisiana East Council, P.O. Box 909, Gonzales, LA 70707 would be appreciated.
