

Malcolm A. Morris passed away on Friday, August 16, 2013 at the age of 78. Beloved father, grandfather, brother and uncle was born on April 4, 1935 in New Orleans, LA. He is survived by his two daughters, Danielle McCoy (Buddy) and Rene' Weaver (Claude Salles); his two sons, Sean Morris (Angele) and Scott Morris (Gina); his grandchildren, Nicole, Angel, Kayla, Tiffanie, Katie, Zachary, Rhett, Tyler, Hailey, Angelique, Skylar and Gavin. He is also survived by his siblings, Marion, Woodrow, Lynwell, Wesley, Lola, and Jennavee, five great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Carlton, Sr. and Mabel Labbe Morris; his siblings, Myrna, Estelle, Merle, Warren and Glen, and his granddaughter, Chasie Morris. Malcolm was a longtime resident of Kenner, LA and a parishioner of St. Jerome Catholic Church. He was a proud veteran of the United States Marine Corps and fought in the Korean War. Malcolm will always be remembered for his vibrant personality, great sense of humor and his wonderful smile. The family would like to thank the staff of the Southeast LA War Veterans Home, where Malcolm has lived the past four years, and the staff of Canon Hospice for their loving care of Malcolm. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Service at the Garden of Memories, 4900 Airline Drive, Metairie, LA on Monday, August 26, 2013 at 1:00 pm.
