Marcel P. Lepine Sr.

Marcel P. Lepine, Sr., age 76, passed away on Monday, April 2, 2012. Mr. Lepine was a native and lifelong resident of Gretna, LA. Beloved husband of the late Dolores Schmitt Lepine. Father of Marcel P. Lepine, Jr. (Lorrie), Joann L. Agent (Robert, Sr.) and Marcel Henry Lepine (Jamie). Grandfather of Jonathan, Bradley and Dakota Lepine, Robert, Jr. and Brandon Agent. Brother of Rosie Mazerac and the late Verna, Jack, Joseph, Jr. and Victoria Lepine. Son of the late Willie Lepine and Marguerite Dominique Lepine Villio. Stepson of the late Clarence Villio. Mr. Lepine was the sexton of Hook and Ladder Cemetery in Gretna for over 55 years and was a retired employee of the City of Gretna where he worked for 25 years. Mr. Lepine’s family would like to extend a special thanks to Tina Bonvillian and the staff of Divine Care Hospice and River Region Hospice for their devoted care. Relatives and friends of the family, also employees of Al-Trans Services, Inc., Harbor Freight and X-Pert Janitorial Services are invited to attend the visitation at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Blvd., near Clearview Pkwy., in Metairie, LA on Tuesday evening, April 10, 2012 from 6:00 PM until 11:00 PM and on Wednesday, April 11, 2012 beginning at 8:00 AM with a Funeral Mass to follow at 11:00 AM in Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home’s chapel. Interment will be in Hook and Ladder Cemetery.
