Marco Antonio Morales

Marco Antonio Morales, 81 of New Orleans, Louisiana passed away peacefully January 21, 2018. He was born in Guatemala on 12-25-36. He was lovingly known as Don Maco. He is preceded in death by his parents Guillermo Morales and Maria Barrientos and son Michael Morales and grandson Aziel Morales. He was the beloved husband of Consuelo Morales of 64 years. He is survived by a brother and sister and his children Mara Aleman (Alvaro), Vilma Gutierrez (Gustavo), Heydee Lacayo (Rene), Fabiola Diaz (Mauricio), Marco Morales Jr (Marcel), and grandchildren, Alvaro Aleman Jr. (Monica), Xmucane Saiz (Alejandro), Becker Aleman (Jessi), Yasmin Gutierrez, Veronica Gutierrez, Iracema Arcuri (Michcael), Jose Gutierrez, Sylvanna Payes (Leonel), Monica Maltez (Otto), Mauricio Diaz Jr.(Cristina), Angelo Morales, Sofia Morales, Salvador Morales, Francesca Morales, Santino Morales, Anastacio Morales, Eliseo Morales, Lucia Morales, Arianna Morales, Cristiano Morales, and 13 great grandchildren. He was a member of the social club of Guatemala of New Orleans, and had a passion for writing books and collecting antiques. He was the proud founder of the museum Macony in his hometown of San Antonio, Suchitepéquez in Guatemala in which he displayed his antique collection. Visitation will be held at Leitz Eagan, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd., Metairie, Louisiana from 4-6pm, a Funeral Mass will start at 6pm on Sunday, January 28, 2018.
