Mrs. Mary Maw Maw Elaine Roemer Sequeira

Mary Elaine Roemer Sequeira, age 83, entered into eternal rest on Monday, August 30, 2010. Mrs. Sequeira was a native of New Orleans, LA, a resident of Kenner, LA for 47 years and a resident of Mandeville, LA for the past 5 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilhelmina Crowell Roemer and Otto Joseph Roemer, Sr.; her brother, Otto Joseph Roemer, Jr. and her sister, Marie Althea Finhold. Beloved wife of the late Peter Delores Sequeira, Jr. Mother of Kim Dixon, Jo Ann Slipher, Toni Osbourn and the late Gail Stegemeyer. Devoted “Maw Maw” of Sheila Taquino, Robert Stegemeyer, Jr., Stephen Stegemeyer, Joey Slipher, Corey Dixon, Nikki Slipher, Ashley and Mary Kate Osbourn and the late Peter Stegemeyer. Also survived by 11 great grandchildren. Mrs. Sequeira worked for D.H. Holmes/Dillards for 20 years. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Funeral Mass at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home Chapel, 4747 Veterans Blvd., near Clearview Pkwy., in Metairie, LA on Saturday, September 4, 2010 at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in St. Patrick Cemetery No. 1. Visitation will be on Friday evening, September 3, 2010 from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM and on Saturday from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home.
