Mary Sherman McCutchon Swindle

Mary Sherman McCutchon Swindle died on Thursday, February 7, 2013. She was born on May 9, 1918 in New Orleans, Louisiana to Frances Pardue McCutchon and Azby Destrehan McCutchon, both of New Orleans. She was predeceased by her husband, Dr. James Thomas Swindle; her son, James Thomas Swindle, Jr. and her sister, Frances Barber of Louisville, Kentucky. She is survived by her son, Robert Carson Swindle (Joanne) of Raleigh, North Carolina; her daughter, Mary Frances Hillery (Andy); her granddaughters, Mary Goodwin (Mark), Julie Hackney (Greg); six great grandchildren and her sister, Martha McCutchon Grant of New Orleans.

Our sincere gratitude goes to the staff, nurses, and caregivers of Our Lady of Wisdom Healthcare Center for the constant love they showed her during her final years.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to a Memorial Mass at Our Lady of

Wisdom, 5600 General De Gaulle Drive on Saturday, February 16, 2013 at 1:00 pm. Visitation will begin at 12:00 pm. Interment was in Garden of Memories Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations preferred to St. Francis Animal Sanctuary, Post Office.
