Ned Francis Hebert, Sr.

Ned Francis Hebert, Sr., age 84, of Kenner, Louisiana passed away peacefully with his loving wife by his side on Friday, February 9, 2024. He is preceded in death by his parents, the late Harry J. Hebert, Sr., and Velma Bertrand Hebert, sister, Esma, brothers, Chester, Gerard, and Harry, Hebert Jr. He is survived by his wife of nearly 46 years Cynthia Bernard Hebert, his children, Michele Prather (Steve), Ned F. Hebert, Jr. (Peggy), Eric Hebert (Terri), Crystal Whipple (Justin), and Nicholas Hebert (Shanon), grandchildren, Jena, Danielle, Ned III, Jason, Jessica, Taylor, Sarah, Brianna, Aubrey, and Olivia, several great-grandchildren, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Ned served honorably in the United States Navy. He came home and started working at York International in 1971 and retired after 33 years. Ned loved to bowl, golf and was an avid Saints fan. He always had a positive outlook and a great work ethic. He was a devout Catholic who loved God, his country, and most of all his family. He will be dearly missed by all those who knew and loved him.

Funeral services for Ned will be held on Monday, March 11, 2024, at St. Philip Neri Catholic Church 6500 Kawanee Avenue, Metairie, Louisiana. Visitation will be from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm followed by a Funeral Mass at noon. Inurnment will follow immediately at Greenwood Cemetery, New Orleans, Louisiana.
