Norris Y. Rodriguez

Norris Yeager Rodriguez, at the age of 90 years, entered eternal rest on April 27, 2022 surrounded by her family and loving caregivers. She was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Eugene N. Rodriguez and her parents, Bernard and Hazel Yeager. She is survived by her beloved daughter, Susan Rodriguez Boudreaux Cohoon and her devoted and cherished son-in-law, Andrew J. Cohoon, along with grandchildren Michelle Boudreaux Arant, Cpl. Patrick “Alex” Arant, USMC and Ashleigh E. Arant. This thoughtful and generous lady also leaves a host of friends who will surely miss her kind spirit and sweet treats.

In addition to being a devoted wife and mother, after graduating from Redemptorist Girls High School, Norris first worked with the Young Men’s Business Club and later joined Aetna Life and Casualty Insurance Company where she rose to the position of Secretary to the General Manager. Retiring after 15 years, she was immediately recruited and took a similar position at Corroon and Black Insurance Agency. After leaving her job at the agency Norris became a loyal and dedicated volunteer for the Canonization cause of Blessed Francis Xavier Seelos, CSsR.

Heartfelt thanks and much love to her two loving caregivers, Jill Mathews and Shelby Tidmore for the compassion, kindness, humor and uplifting spirit they brought to our family. You both will always be in our hearts.

A Mass of Christian burial will be said on Monday, May 2, 2022 in the Chapel of Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd., near Clearview Pkwy., in Metairie, LA at 1 p.m. The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be at St. Patrick No. 1 Cemetery on Canal Street.
