

Okhui Chung was welcomed into God's awaiting arms on Sunday, October 3, 2010. She was born in Hwang Hae, Korea on December 15, 1936 .Okhui came to the United States in 1970. She worked hard and made her home in Jefferson, Louisiana for the past forty years. Okhui was fortunate to have in her life, a loving and devoted companion of thirty years, Jules Thibodeaux, also of Jefferson, Louisiana .She is survived by a son, Robert F. Daigle, of Alexandria, Virginia; a daughter, Laura Daigle Grant; son-in-law, Richard Grant; three grandsons, Eric S. Daigle, Corey A. Grant and Cody A. Grant, all of Gulfport, Mississippi. She also leaves a great-granddaughter, Clara Lynn Daigle, also of Gulfport, Mississippi. Okhui was an active member of The First Korean Baptist Church of New Orleans, where her knowledge and love of the Lord grew. For those who knew and loved Okhui, please find comfort in knowing that through her acceptance of Jesus Christ as her Savior, she will always have everlasting life.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral. The service will be celebrated in the chapel at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive in Metairie on Friday, October 8, 2010 at 11:00 AM. Visitation will be on Thursday evening, October 7, 2010 from 5-9 PM and after 10 AM on Friday. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
