Patricia "Patsy" Ann Tenhundfeld

Patricia "Patsy" Ann Tenhundfeld, age 72, passed away unexpectedly at East Jefferson General Hospital on Sunday, June 22, 2025. She was born on July 9, 1952, in New Orleans. She was the daughter of the late Dorothy Frothingham Junda and Sam Gregory Junda.

Patsy graduated from Sacred Heart of Jesus in 1970, with a focus on accounting. While in high school, she was on the volleyball team and continued to compete in tournaments even after graduating. She worked in the field of accounting for forty years while taking care of her children. The past few years of her life were spent lovingly taking care of her ailing sister. She enjoyed spending time with family, especially her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Sam Junda, and sister,

Doris Deckwa. Patsy is survived by her life partner of 30 years, Bernard Ray, as well as her two sons, Ronald George Tenhundfeld (Jamie) and Timothy Nicholas Tenhundfeld, seven grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Patsy's life will be held on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Memorial Blvd. in Metairie. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. followed by a Memorial Mass. The interment will be on Monday, July 14, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at Cypress Grove Cemetery, 120 City Park Ave., on the corner of City Park Ave. and Canal Blvd.
