Patrick Edwin Burks

Patrick Edwin Burks, age 71, of Kenner, LA, passed away on Wednesday, October 1, 2025 at Inspire Living Center at Kenner. Pat was born on May 21, 1954 at Touro Hospital in New Orleans, LA. He lived with his family in Nashville and Memphis, TN, and Birmingham, AL, and then moved to Metairie, LA when he was 16 years old. He graduated from East Jefferson High School and has been a resident of Kenner, LA for the past 50 years.

Pat was the proud Owner & Operator of Stone Craft, LLC, a successful granite and stone business, building the reputation over the years for their exceptional craftsmanship. His custom countertops and stonework can be found in homes and businesses throughout the area.

An avid outdoorsman, Pat rarely passed up a chance to go fishing. In his younger years, he was also an enthusiastic hunter who never missed the start of duck hunting season.

Pat was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Stanley Burks and Beatrice "Susan" Dickey Burks and his brother, Stephen Paul Burks.

Survivors include his brother, Michael Charles Burks of Metairie, LA; his sister, Eileen Burks Dooley (husband Shane) of Kenner, LA; his 3 nieces, Emily Chaplain, Kelly Chaplain, and Caitlyn Dooley; and his nephew, Brandon Dooley.

The family extends their heartfelt thanks and appreciation to Pat's closest friends: Jim Lawson, Louis Ritter, and Terry Smith for their unwavering support, care, and friendship, especially during this last year.

A private celebration of Pat's life will be held at a later date.
