Proud grandfather of Stacy Martinez, Philip Martinez, Chuck Ward, David Ward, Raymond Ferrand, Jr., Melissa O'Hara, Jeffrey Martinez, Dawn Stann, Tommy Ferrand, 16 great grandchildren; Kevin Stann, Jacklyn Stann, Victoria Stann, Lauren LaRose, Alyzza Stann, Garrett O'Hara, Tyler O'Hara, Megan Martinez, Ashley Ward, Alyiah Lascio, Adam Pelicano, Anna Ferrand, Ava Ferrand, Audrey Ferrand, Riley Ferrand and Alex Ferrand. 3 great great grandchildren; Marcel Stann, Kaven Ward and Kyler Ward. Also preceded in death his grandchild Kevin Ferrand.

Son of the late Barbara Pradat Ferrand and Philip A. Ferrand. Brother of Leah, Barbara and the late Elmer.

“Butsy” is also survived by numerous loving nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Born on January 11, 1919, age 94, in New Orleans, LA and a lifelong resident of Jefferson. A retired painter of the Painters Local Union 1244, worked on the Higgins landing crafts during WWII, enjoyed softball, fishing and just spending quality time with his family.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass at Garden of Memories Funeral Home, 4900 Airline Drive, Metairie, LA 70001 on Tuesday, January 15, 2013 at 1:00 pm. Visitation from 11:00 am until funeral time. Interment in Garden of Memories Cemetery. In leiu of flowers, memorial donations to Canon Hospice, 1221 S. Clearview Pkwy., Jefferson, LA 70121.
