Robert Gilmore "Gil" Giles

Robert Gilmore “Gil” Giles, passed away on February 7, 2016 at the age of 77. He was a resident of Covington, LA for 24 years. Gil was born in New Orleans, LA on October 19, 1938 to the late Robert M. and Alicemae (Gilmore) Giles. He was married to the late Florence Virginia (Smith) Giles for 44 years. Gil served as a New Orleans based Green Coffee Broker for Forstall and Giles for over 40 years. He was a member of the New Orleans Board of Trade and past President. He served in the United States Army from 1960 to 1962 and graduated from St. Paul’s, in Covington, LA in 1956. He is survived by one brother, William Giles and his children, Karen Brady (Patrick Brady), Kevin Giles (Missy Giles), Kim Giles, Keith Giles (Ali Giles), Kelly Costanza (Frankie Costanza) and Ken Giles (Denise Villarrubia). He is also survived by his grandchildren Tony Gandy, Holly Athas (Alex Athas), Brandon Giles, Jessica Costanza, Alexa Giles, Chad Zito, Makayla Brady, Chelsey Zito, Kassidy Giles, Brooke Costanza, Summer Costanza, Carmen Giles, Lakin and Christian Wood. He was the great-grandfather to Drake and Branson Athas. Funeral services will be held at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Blvd., Metairie, LA at on Saturday February 13, 2016.
