OBITUARY

Ronald Stephen Craft, Sr.

19 January, 196024 March, 2020

Ronald Stephen Craft, Sr., age 60, passed away at home on March 24, 2020 with his loved ones. He is preceded in death by his parents, the late Dewitt Craft II and Rogene Grant Craft. He is also preceded in death by his brothers, Dewitt Craft III and Gerald Craft. He is survived by his devoted wife of 34 years, Nina Hamilton Craft, his children, Ronald Stephen Craft, Jr. (Derecka), Tomasina Jewel McBride Young (Andrew) and Rah'Nesia Elizabeth Craft (Daylin), grandchildren, Anajah and Alaina Young, Titus Isaiah Bolding and Savion. He is also survived by his brothers, Thomas J. Craft and Reginald Craft, and two sisters, Florence Baham and Cheryl Alexander, and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was a kind and gentle person, an excellent provider for his family who loved his children. He is a 26 year retired Veteran of US Armed Forces. He traded that life to serve his Heavenly Father Jehovah. He never found an enemy in his life, he befriended all those he came into contact with. He was especially fond of his Dillard University family where he worked for over 13 years where he retired in 2019.

He devoted his life to ministering to all he met about the glorious Kingdom of Jehovah God, through his Son Jesus Christ. His greatest joys in life were eating any kind of chicken and football.

Per Mr. Craft's request, there will be no services, he wishes for all to continue to love and care for one another as this is the commandment given by Jesus Christ (John 13:34).

What a sad thing to see this morning when I went online Mr. Ronald was truly a good person and there was never a dual moment when you talk with him always smiling .We went to John Mc together this has really touched my ❤ he would call me Wa Wa when he stopped at the grill in Dillard to check on me and Mr. Carl. To the family he said that your family had God so just be strong and keep believing that God will see you throughout this grieving time.
Be Blessed! Mrs. Wanda on behalf of Grill 155

I attended Lake Forest Congregation with Brother Craft for a year, May 2018 to June 2019, and he was a real source of comfort for me because his steadfast Christian warmth, was something I could count on as I entered the house of God from the ravages of Satan system. That meant a lot to me. I loved how his wife with endearment spoke of his great love he had for her. The loving care and tender affection she so enthusiastically described, made you understand why she fully recognized how blessed she was with her husband. A dear fellow Sister of our faith told me, “his love for Nina was so deep, I have never seen a husband love their wife so much. And he would work two jobs to get his mother her medicine.” And then this fellow Sister who was a single parent of two, explained how Nina and her husband befriended her family and were so up building for them. She spoke with great gratitude of how Brother Craft took time with her son who is now a fine spiritual Brother and husband. I certainly look forward in joining all to welcome our dear Brother Ronald Craft back in paradise.

Nina I’m so sorry for the loss of your husband and my dear spiritual brother. I can still remember that wonderful laugh he had on the day of my last visit with him. You were baking sweet potatoes pies (small ones) and he told You don’t give her all my pies. He was enjoying watching a football game at the time and I got to leave with a couple of pies of course he had plenty left. He will be sorely missed and I can’t wait to see my dear friend healthy never having to experience any of pain and suffering again. I look forward to the fulfillment of John 5:28,29. My deepest condolences to you and your family!
