Russell Brockmann, born March 2, 1937 in Milwaukee Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on December 17th, 2017 at East Jefferson General Hospital, Cardiac Care Unit, ICU, with his wife Judy (Bogatz) of 32 years at his side, who will miss his Northern accent, crazy sense of humor and strong shoulder to lean on. He was predeceased in death by his parents, Pearl Gardner Brockmann and Elmer Brockmann, his brother, Elmer “Junior” Brockmann, his 2nd son Robert (Cathy), and Robert's second child, Meghan (infant). In addition to Robert, he was a wonderful father to 3 more sons by his first wife Lillian Hill: eldest - Russell H. (Terri), 3rd son Randall and youngest Ronald Brockmann. Also survived by 6 grand-children , Allison, Randy Jr., Sara, Alaina, Justin, Kyle and 6 great grandchildren. In Louisiana, he was a private Investigator with his own company Resolve Investigations, Inc. for many years, finally working for Gravel Investigations before he retired. His hobbies were Holy Fools Clown Ministry at nursing homes and orphanages, guns, Lionel trains with a Christmas Village, the Green Bay Packers, Gene Autry movies, politics, cars and making Judy laugh; as well as wearing the Mardi Gras costumes she designed every year of their marriage to the French Quarter. Friends and relatives are invited to attend a visitation from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at St. Ann Church & Shrine, 3601 Transcontinental Drive, Metairie, Louisiana 70006. A Funeral Mass will be held at 12:00 noon followed by inurnment at St. Louis #3 Cemetery, 3421 Esplanade Ave, New Orleans, Louisiana in the Resurrection Mausoleum, 2nd fioor, St. Edward Corridor. Many thanks to the nurses and doctors at EJGH and Dr. Gurtler's Chemotherapy Clinic for maintaining his health since his initial bout with colon cancer in 2007, followed by Multiple Myeloma, Peritoneal Cancer and Congestive Heart Failure.
