Stephen Sears

Stephen Ramm Sears passed away peacefully at the age of 63, Sunday, September 23, 2012. Father of Lauren Sears and brother of John Frank Sears. Also survived by two nieces, one nephew, Charlotte Sloan Sears, and Rebecca Raymond. Preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Ellen Ramm Sears. A native of New Orleans and resident of Young Harris, Georgia for the past 12 years. Steve, a graduate of Rummel High School in 1967, earned a BS from Southeastern University in 1971. Employed at B&G Crane until moving to Georgia in 2000. Throughout his life he worked in the construction & heavy equipment industry, and eventually owned his own business in the mountains of North Georgia. Steve had a special place in his heart for his daughter, Lauren, family and friends. He enjoyed traveling, football, fishing and spending time with those he loved and with those who loved him. The relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services from Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home Chapel, 4747 Veterans Memorial Boulevard, Metairie, on Friday Morning, September 28, 2012 at 11:00. Wake will be held Thursday evening from 6:00p.m.until 8:00p.m. Visitation at 10 a.m. followed by a prayer service at 11:00 a.m. Interment at Garden of Memories will be private.
