Susan Marie Mayeaux Schneider passed peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, September 16, 2014, after a lengthy battle with cancer. She was 59 years old. Loving mother of Cynthia Schneider Bergeron (Bryan), Tracy Schneider Seither (Todd), Christopher Riestra-Schneider (Neftali). Devoted grandmother of Orion Funck, Sophia Seither, and Phoebie Bergeron. Sister of John Mayeaux Jr. (Belinda). Daughter of the late Loretta and John Mayeaux Sr. Also survived by many loving family members and friends. She was a native of Chalmette, and a lifelong resident of the New Orleans area. She was a member of the Crescent City Sound Chorus, and loved to sing and dance. She was an inspiration to many through her faith and her strength. She will be greatly missed by all. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Memorial Service from LEITZ-EAGAN Metairie, 4747 Veterans Memorial Boulevard, on Monday evening, September 22, 2014 at 7:00.
