Sylvia Klein Virga

Sylvia Klein Virga, age 71, joined her husband, John and her grandson, Shaun James in Heaven on Friday, August 15, 2014. Mrs. Virga was a native of New Orleans, LA and was a resident of Metairie, LA. Beloved wife of the late John J. Virga, Jr. Mother of Debra James (Charles), Donna Virga (Joe Maggio) and John Virga, III (Karen). Grandmother of Brandie, Eric, Garrett, Shannon, Shantelle, John IV, James and the late Shaun. Great grandmother of Kamryn. Sister of JoAnn Pepperman. Also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Mrs. Virga was a very devout Catholic. She loved her family very much and was very devoted to them. She was a true matriarch and the rock of her family. Mrs. Virga was greatly loved and will be deeply missed. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the memorial gathering at Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home, 4747 Veterans Blvd., near Clearview Pkwy., in Metairie, LA on Wednesday, August 27, 2014 beginning at 9:00 AM with a Memorial Mass to follow at 11:00 AM in Leitz-Eagan Funeral Home’s chapel.
