William "Bill" Avery Duplissey Jr.

William (Bill) Avery Duplissey Jr., son of the late William Avery Duplissey and Anna Dean Pitchford Duplissey, passed away on Memorial Day, May 30, 2022 at the age of 85. He was the husband of the late Joanette Caserta Duplissey whom he loved dearly until the day he died and the brother of the late Helen Duplissey Busby.

Father of William Avery Duplissey, III (wife, Marlene) and the late Denise Duplissey Shannon. Grandfather of Connie Shannon, Steven Shannon (Amanda) and Gracie Duplissey. Great grandfather of Devin Shannon (Shayna), Madison, Charlee, and Avery Shannon, and Emma Jenkins. Great-great grandfather of Aria and Ava Shannon. Bill was a graduate of Fortier High School and a Private First Class in the United States Marine Corps from 1954 - 1962. He was born in New Orleans and lived the past 15 years in Hammond, LA to be near family. He was a devoted husband, father and grandfather who will be missed by friends and family whom he dearly loved.

A Celebration of life will be held privately.
