Blanca Beckford

Blanca was born on September 15, 1935, in Guantanamo, Oriente Cuba to Ana and Milton Duncan.

Blanca was predeceased in death by her husband Charles W. Beckford and her daughter Cristina Beckford Gebhard. Her surviving children are; Carlos Beckford of West Palm Beach, FL, Alfredo Beckford of Somerset, NJ, and Ricardo Beckford of Montclair NJ, and daughter Lina Beckford of West Palm Beach, FL, as well as Elena Duncan of West Palm Beach, FL, Blanca’s beloved sister who she raised alongside her children with love and devotion with her late husband, Charles W. Beckford.

Blanca held a variety of jobs throughout her life but her passions were in the creative arts. She was a highly trained and accomplished seamstress and pattern maker and she loved to crochet and embroider.

Blanca is survived by her three Grandchildren, Fred Beckford, Jasmyne Beckford, and Brandon Beckford.

Blanca leaves behind a large family including her sister Aurora “Beba” Duncan of Guantanamo, as well as many nieces, and nephews in the US and Cuba: including Sara J. Beckford, George Brown, Diliada Rodriquez, Pablo Mills, Blanca Duncan Bes, Giovani Rodriguez, Elizabeth Beckford, Jesus Beckford, and Estela Beckford and her brother-in-law Dr. Pedro A. Beckford.

A visitation for Blanca will be held Friday, July 29, 2022 from 5:00 pm to 12:00 am at Caballero Rivero Little Havana, 3344 SW 8th Street, Miami, FL 33135. Following the visitation will be a graveside service on Saturday, July 30, 2022 from 12:30 pm to 1:00 pm at Caballero Rivero Dade North, 1301 NW Opa Locka Blvd, Miami, FL 33167.
