You were the next oldest sibling to me in a close knit family full of love, always a role model, not just for your children but for all who knew you.  
I am grateful for how well you and the family accepted Joe when we were married, making him feel so at home with all of us, and there sure were many of us at times.  He has always felt the love you guys have for him, and he loves you all in return, as do I.
We thank the Lord every day for giving us such wonderful people to call our relatives, and for how He has watched over us and kept us safe.  Not everyone is so lucky.  
Any time I have run into someone who knows you, they have had so many nice things to say about you and the exemplary life you have led.
I am very proud to have had you for a brother along with my other siblings.


All who had the honor of knowing my uncle Carlos will always say that he was a dedicated family man, not just to his wife, children and grandchildren but also to his siblings, nieces and nephews. For all of my life my Grandmother Minerva, would tell me stories of her siblings and their children when they were young...It must be a family trait because he would tell me stories of her and my mother when they were young... Every time we would see each other he would always ask for all of my family members that were not present at the gathering...Uncle Carlos always had wise words to comfort and assist you.   Lula and her brothers were very lucky to have him as a father and mentor.

Uncle Carlos, you will be missed. I will always remember you, love Luisito.



One of Carlos' favorite sayings is that he and Maria Amelia shared decision making responsibilities.  He said that Maria Amelia made all of the day to day decisions such as what to eat, what to wear, what they were going to do.  Carlos on the other hand, was responsible for the big decisions, like when and where to drop a nuclear bomb and whether or not to start the next World War.....  If you think about it that way, his wise choices saved humanity and all mankind should be grateful for his wise decision making!
Carlos, we will miss your experience and your example.  We will miss your loving heart and wonderful nature.  I love you dearly and I know that we will see each other again.
