Carmen was born on February 11, 1928, to the late Hermenegildo and Hortensia Amat. She was born and raised in Cueto, Cuba. In 1955, she met her husband Carlos Belette and they married on July 7, 1957. They lived in New York for most of their married years.
Carmen is survived by her daughters: Lourdes Valladares, and her husband Frank, of Irvine, CA, and Marisela DaLomba, and her husband Luiz of East Brunswick, NJ; her sister Luisa Amat in Cuba; and her grandchildren: Natalia, Danielle, Carlos, and Gabrielle; as well as several nieces, and friends.
The DaLomba Family and the Valladares Family wish to extend their gratitude to their family, friends, and church for their support during difficult times.
A visitation for Carmen will be held Tuesday, May 30, 2023, from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Caballero Rivero Woodlawn South, 11655 SW 117th Avenue, Miami, FL 33186, followed by a graveside service from 2:30 PM to 3:00 PM.
