

Cheryl was born to the Emma Rogers and Audley Coakley, May 4, 1962, in Miami, Fl. She graduated from SouthRidge H.S. in 1979, attended Florida A&M before receiving a BA in Biblical Studies from Southern Christian University. She married then Air Force 1st Lieutenant Richard Morris who later rose to the rank of Lieutenant Colonel before he retired and they settled in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Cheryl worked for several years with the City of Miami Fire Prevention Bureau until committing to the life of a military wife. As such she worked various jobs before making the decision to stay home with her children and become a full time Home School educator.
Cheryl was very active in church and was a faithful member of then Bethel Baptist church when she lived in Florida. She enjoyed studying health and nutrition, both to combat the cancer she was battling but also to help others live a healthy lifestyle. Cheryl also continued to be a strong witness for Jesus Christ through her last days on the earth. She died quietly knowing for her “to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord”.
Cheryl is survived by her husband Richard, and her four sons: Jaydon, Bedel and twin brothers Ephraim and Ezra Morris, all of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
A viewing will be held at 7 p.m. Friday at the Memorial Plan Kendall Funeral Home. Services will be held Saturday at the Bethel Church at 11 a.m.
