“ Daisy C. Cruz passed away peacefully on January 11, 2021, after a two year battle with lymphoma. Daisy was Cuban, born to Armando and Dioserada García (both deceased). She lived most of her life in Miami, where she met her future husband during the mid 1960s. Daisy and Jesús were married in 1970, and were fortunate to celebrate fifty years of marriage this past August. She was a loving, devoted daughter, wife, mother and grandmother, who enjoyed, most of all, sharing time with her family. She enjoyed doing her Sudoku and other puzzles at breakfast every morning.

In addition to Jesús, Daisy is survived by her son, Sergio W. Cruz (wife: Laura), her daughter Christina Yanes (husband: Felipe) and three grandchildren, Alejandra Cruz, Cecilia Cruz and Sergio Andrés Cruz, numerous cousins, and other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, please consider contributions to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society in memory of Daisy.”

A visitation for Daisy will be held Friday, January 15, 2021 from 5:30 PM to 11:59 PM at Caballero Rivero Little Havana, 3344 SW 8TH ST, MIAMI, FL 33135. A funeral service will occur Saturday, January 16, 2021 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church, 900 sw 26th road, Miami, FL 33129. A graveside service will occur Saturday, January 16, 2021 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at Miami Memorial Park, 6200 sw 77th avenue, miami, FL 33143.
