David Cromwell Norris passed away on September 9, 2026, at the age of 93. He was born on July 27, 1933, in Honduras, and resided in Miami, Florida.
David migrated from Honduras to Haiti along with his mother, Amelie, sisters, Judith and Edna and brothers, Samuel and Stanley when he was a young child.
When he was a young adult he worked for the American Company Reynolds Haitian Mines Inc. for more than 7 years.
He married his ex-wife Antonine Bernard and migrated to the United States. From that union he is survived by his children: David, Dora, Philip, Nancy, and Patrick; his grandsons Max, Austin, and Andrew; and his great-grandson Joshua.
He later returned to his birthplace, Honduras, where he remarried. From that union he is survived by his wife Nolvia, daughters Fabiola and Belinda and grandson Alessandro.
He is survived by his son Robert and his children, Elena and Sofia.
He retired from General Motors after serving for 30 years.
He is survived by many nieces and nephews.
He was fluent in Spanish, English, and French, and Haitian Creole.
He had a great sense of humor. He avidly listened to music. He was dedicated to his faith and family. It is our hope that he is reunited with all our loved ones who have departed.
It was a blessing to have shared our lives with him. He will be truly missed and never forgotten!
The viewing will be held at Caballero Rivero Woodlawn South, 11655 SW 117th Ave, Miami, FL 33186, USA, on September 16, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
The burial will take place at Woodlawn Park Cemetery South, 11655 SW 117th Ave, Miami, FL 33186, USA, on September 16, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 2:30 p.m.
