I just heard of Diane’s passing last night via email and was very shocked and deeply saddened. To her family and friends, I extend my deepest condolences.  To others, I want to share that Diane was a person whom I will never forget.

She was my Creative Director at Williamhouse-Regency for several years in the 1990s. When the company was sold, she helped pave the way for me to move to California with a recommendation and by arranging my first interview for a new job. We remained friends throughout the years and we always got together when I visited NYC, even if it was only for an hour or so to go to the Met or MOMA and grab a quick lunch. We also got together for lunch on Lincoln Rd. and I had the pleasure of meeting her mother when I lived in Miami.

I have only fond memories of Diane. I remember meeting her when I interviewed at WR and I remember the last time we had lunch at the Met. Diane had a presence and a glow about her, but she was not pretentious and treated everyone with the same respect. She was beautiful, funny and a strong leader.  I had not planned to leave a memory, but I just cannot get her out of my mind. I will miss all the creative and unconventional holiday cards that she sent every year. I miss Diane already and will always have a place for her in my heart and mind. Peace DCB.

Diane was my first Art Director when I moved to NYC in 1967......she worked for Regency Greeting Cards.

We remained friends for all these years....and often had lunch together....in her townhouse....... in her penthouse.....and in cafes.

She was a dear and loyal friend.....it is heartbreaking to learn of her passing.
