

Doraida Valea, age 93, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 12, 2025. Born on May 1, 1931, in Cienfuegos, Cuba, Doraida emigrated to Miami, Florida, where she made her home for many years. She was deeply proud of her Cuban heritage and her journey as an immigrant, embracing her new life in the United States with a strong sense of patriotism and resilience.
Doraida was known for her loving nature and her unwavering dedication to her family. She was a cherished mother, grandmother, and friend, always putting the needs of those she loved above her own. Her home was a warm and welcoming space, filled with laughter, joy, and an abundance of love. Doraida’s strength and devotion to her family served as an inspiration to all who knew her.
Her legacy will live on in the hearts of her children, grandchildren, and all those who were fortunate to have been part of her life. Doraida leaves behind a lasting impact with her kindness, her loyalty, and her deep love for her family and country. She will be greatly missed and forever remembered.
A visitation for Doraida will be held Monday, January 20, 2025 from 9:00 am to 1:30 pm at Caballero Rivero Little Havana, 3344 SW 8th Street, Miami, FL 33135. Following the visitation will be a burial service at 2:00 pm at Memorial Plan at Miami Memorial Park Cemetery, 6200 SW 77th Ave, Miami, FL 33143.
