He lived his life like Frank Sinatra’s song, My Way, giving his everything in everything he did. After coming to the United States, escaping the communist regime in Cuba, he started from nothing with the loyal and loving help of his wife, Rebeca, and became a lamp designer, real estate agent and broker with a touch of singer in the mix. His bigger than life personality will be missed by his surviving wife of 61 years, Rebeca, his son Raul, daughters Rebecca and Maria, his daughter-in-law Lisa Lopez, his son-in-laws, Jason Schoeman and Albert Arca and grandsons Alejandro and Andres Arca. He also leaves behind his dear sister Mercedes Fernandez Manito.

Felipe Lopez, better known as Rudy, left us after 85 years of a full life on April 25,2020 in his home in Sunny Isles , Florida where he passed in his sleep after struggling with health issues the last year. But up until the last days he had a smile on his face.

He spent his life ready to make a deal and sing you a song at the drop of a hat. Many knew him as the Singing Realtor or El Milagroso. He was a great,loyal friend, loving husband and father, funny grandfather and a creative businessman. He loved his family very much and nothing was too much for his family. His humor and smile was his connection to EVERYONE.

Rudy lived in California for over 25 years and started his first business, Beky Lamps, out of a garage. He worked very hard with his wife Rebeca at his side. After making connections, he opened his own store and even sold lamps to SEARS. After the lamp business, he decided to get his real estate license and from that moment on he became the Milagroso or Miracle Worker, because he made sales when you thought it was impossible.

After Rudy’s daughter, Rebecca, married and moved to Florida, he and his wife Rebeca moved to Florida as well and there, continued to sell real estate, but now he became the Singing Realtor. Rudy made his own CDs singing his favorite Frank Sinatra songs. He loved to sing Karaoke at Paquito’s Restaurant on Saturday nights later in his life; and he gave out hundreds of his CDs to EVERYONE he came in contact with. Even on his 85th birthday in November, he sang his favorite songs.

He was never too old to have fun. He loved to visit the horse races, Vegas and all casinos and any place that had karaoke. He will be remembered with his big smile and love for life. He is in heaven now singing and enjoying eternity.

His funeral is at Caballero Rivero Westchester on May 6, 2020 from 5-9pm. Rudy’s life was a party all 85 years and he wanted everyone at his party. Celebrate his life with him and his family and always remember his wonderful way of looking at life. As he always said, Life is short, live it to the fullest because it ends. But rest assured, a much better life awaits Rudy and all of us in heaven.

Felipe López, mejor conocido como RUDY, nos dejó después de 85 años de una vida plena el 25 de abril de 2020 en su casa en Sunny Isles, Florida, donde falleció dormido después de luchar con problemas de salud el año pasado. Pero hasta los últimos días tenía una sonrisa en su rostro.

Pasó su vida listo para hacer un trato y cantarte una canción en un abrir y cerrar de ojos. Muchos lo conocían como el Singing Realtor o El Milagroso. Era un gran amigo leal, un esposo y padre amoroso, un abuelo divertido y un empresario creativo. Amaba mucho a su familia y nada era demasiado para su familia. Su humor y sonrisa eran su conexión con TODOS.

Rudy vivió en California durante más de 25 años y comenzó su primer negocio, Beky Lamps, desde un garaje. Trabajó muy duro con su esposa Rebeca a su lado. Después de hacer conexiones, abrió su propia tienda e incluso vendió lámparas a SEARS. Después del negocio de las lámparas, decidió obtener su licencia de bienes raíces y desde ese momento se convirtió en El Milagroso, porque hizo ventas cuando creía que eran imposible.

Después de que la hija de Rudy, Rebecca, se casó y se mudó a Florida, él y su esposa Rebeca también se mudaron a Florida y allí, continuaron vendiendo bienes raíces, pero ahora se convirtió en el Singing Realtor. Rudy hizo sus propios CD cantando sus canciones favoritas de Frank Sinatra. Le encantaba cantar Karaoke en el restaurante Paquito’s los sábados por la noche más tarde en su vida; y regaló cientos de sus CD a TODOS con los que entró en contacto. Incluso en su fiesta de 85 años en noviembre, cantó sus canciones favoritas.

Nunca fue demasiado viejo para divertirse. Le encantaba visitar las carreras de caballos, Las Vegas y todos los casinos y cualquier lugar que tuviera karaoke. Será recordado con su gran sonrisa y amor por la vida. Él está en el cielo ahora cantando y disfrutando la eternidad.

Su funeral es en Caballero Rivero Westchester el 6 de mayo de 2020 de 5 a 9 p.m. La vida de Rudy fue una fiesta durante los 85 años y quería a todos en su fiesta. Celebre su vida con él y su familia y siempre recuerde su maravillosa forma de ver la vida. Como él siempre decía, “Goza que esto se acaba”, pero tenga la seguridad, una vida mucho mejor nos espera a Rudy y a todos nosotros en el cielo.
