I knew Isabel through Interfusion Festival, an event in the  Washington DC area, where both of us have volunteered over the past couple of years.  When I didn't see her name on the volunteer list for this year, my first thought was that she must have had some sort of scheduling issue or something like that; it wasn't until halfway through the event that I heard she was gone.   And while it's a big enough event that not everyone knows each other by name, people definitely knew her smile, whether from on the dance floor or in a workshop or on shift at the registration desk.  She'll definitely be missed!

I only knew you for a short time, when you were only 5/6 years of age.  Sad to hear you have left at such a young age. Going through all your pictures and admiring the beautiful person you turned out to be. Rest In Peace beautiful angel

Es muy difícil aceptar cuando una vida joven deja de existir, pero queda el Consuelo de saber es muy querida por todos,yo conozco a tu Abuela Rosita y Mami Yeny desde pequeña y se lo mucho que han luchado en la vida por tener esta familia,siento mucho por el dolor que pasan,soy madre y abuela.
Isabel baila, toca tu tumbadora,rie,se siempre tú, así es como todos te recordarán.

The most challenging thing to do in dance is to connect to another person, but universally everyone will tell you that with Isabel the connection was immediate. Ask her to dance she smiled, make a mistake she smiled, do the move well she glowed. Isabel made everyone around her feel special on and off the dance floor. G-d has found the perfect person & dance partner in heaven with Isabel.

Solo espero que dios aya tenido razones muy grandes para llevarte con el , porque todo no vale  para tener un ángel más en el cielo  sino q mire un segundo abajo y vea el dolor que a dejado ! Fuerza para los que te echarán tanto de menos !

Querida prima , Fue tan lindo conocerte Aqui EN Roma , EN un dia entraste EN mi corazon , tu energia , tu felicidad , tus  ganas de vivir y de divertirte y conocer  El Mundo , Conocerte fue  maravilloso y perder la posibilidad de volver  a verte es ..... No hai palabras para esprimirlo  Me encanto verte Bailar porque eras Como yo , que tristezza mas grande vivrà en mi Corazon . Isabel! Beauty! May your soul rest in peace. This picture is from the day we met! Dance friends, hanging out at the pool. You are so very sweet and kind, and I want you to know that you are very special to the dance community.  Last Friday night, during the zouk social, we dedicated a moment and made a tribute in your honor. We all gathered in a circle, held hands, and lit candles in your memory. You touched a lot of people, and you will always be remembered. Farewell, and may you rest in peace Isabel.

Isabel’s smile could light up the room. The first thing I noticed about her was her graceful dancing. I definitely became more inspired after watching her move around the dance floor. I only chatted with her at times during dance class and dance socials, but even In those short moments, I felt she was genuine and naturally caring and charismatic. Your memories will be with me. Dance on, beautiful Isabel. God Bless your soul. 

Oh my Isa, 
Never in a million years would I ever thought I would be writing this to you. You were, are & will always be my biggest role model & inspiration. Since the beginning of my life, you were my favorite big cousin. I can go on and on about our memories and adventures but that only leads me to say thank you. Thank you for being such an important person in my life & teaching me all the lessons that you find, I will never forget any of them and I will always make sure to keep your voice inside of me for guidance and motivation. You were absolutely incredible, kind, genuine and a true ray of sunshine that no one will ever be able to outshine. It is incredible and unbearable to know that you are gone but your spirit will be with us all. I love you to the moon and back & I will patiently wait for the day we meet again, till then, dance with the stars for all us princess. Siempre te amare prima ♥️


Qué  Sonreír para mí puede no ser una sonrisa para ti, pero es contagiosa.  La energía no se crea ni se destruye, sino que solo se puede transmitir de uno a otro.  La sonrisa puede seguirte y llevarte al alma de alguien.  La sonrisa puede dejar una marca en tu memoria para conservar una fracción de tu vida o un todo.  Sonreír te puede levantar cuando estás en tu punto más bajo.  La sonrisa puede iluminar toda la habitación, incluso si no hay una sola luz a la vista, es el poder de su energía que es rico lo que ilumina la vida misma.  Sonríe solo porque puedes hacer un cambio en el día de alguien.  Sonríe porque nunca se sabe quién necesita algo de energía, si o no se lo merece o no, al menos se les dio una esperanza una vez más porque ahora pueden devolverle la sonrisa.  Solo sonríe.

Dear Isa, you came into our lives  with your kind personality, a  heart of gold and a  smile that can lighten up a room. You were the daughter that I never had, I am so grateful for having you in my life and for changing Jose’s life forever!
