Jorge Grillo, beloved husband, father, and friend, passed away peacefully on July 10, 2025, at the age of 82.
Born in Colón, Cuba, on May 28, 1943, Jorge built a life defined by resilience. After immigrating to the United States, he settled in Miami, Florida, where he raised his family and spent his life surrounded by the people and culture he loved.
Jorge was a skilled electrician by trade. Outside of work, he found joy in playing dominoes, befriending neighborhood cats, taking long walks and bike rides, and filling the home with the sound of his guitar.
He is survived by his wife, Elsa Grillo; his three daughters, Yamilet Vazquez, Katie Grillo, and Mary Grillo; and his three grandchildren, Janell Vazquez, Eduardo Vazquez, Jr., and Javier Vazquez.
He will be remembered for his humble heart. Jorge’s presence will be deeply missed and cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
