

She was born May 12,1918, in Calabria, Italy to the late, Ernest and Rose Manin. Millie traveled to America through Ellis Island at the age of two. Her family lived in Akron, Ohio, where she grew up and met Joseph Barbieri, her late husband of 57 years.
Millie and her family moved to Hialeah, FL in 1949 where she owned and operated "Millie's Dress Shop." Millie and Joe, settled in the Kendall area, and lived there for nearly sixty years.
Millie was an artist in all aspects of her life. She was a gourmet cook who also enjoyed sewing, painting, and gardening. She was a loving grandmother who spent many hours sharing her wisdom and creative skills. Her witty sense of humor brought a smile to all she met.
The oldest of nine siblings, she is survived by her beloved sister, Marianne Novotak of Miami Springs, her brother and sister-in-law Jim and Virginia Barbieri of Ohio, her daughter and son, Beatrice, "Bea" Moremen and Sam Barbieri, "Sam the Plumber", son-in-law, Sam Moremen, grandchildren, Theresa Barbieri, Amy and (Tim) Eustace, Annie and (Jose) Gonzalez, Matthew and (Aime) Moremen, Maria and (Derek) Hull and Nicole Moremen, her great-grandchildren, Timmy and Tommy Eustace, Joey Charron and Jake Charron, Kole Moremen, Jay Gonzalez, Ripley Hull and many nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her brothers, Mike, Sam and Ernie Manin and her sisters, Edith Liberatore, Angie Rivera, Lee Cassidy, and Virginia "Chickie" Perez.
The viewing will be 12-2pm and Funeral Services will be held graveside at 2:00pm on Friday, February 9, 2018 at Caballero Rivero Woodland Park Cemetery (South) 11655 SW 117th Avenue, Miami, FL, 33186. Celebration of Life to follow at The Elks Lodge, 10301 SW 72nd Street, Miami, FL 33173.
