I have been thinking how to describe Leonor. Probably the easiest way is to say that she was a very successful woman. She succeeded in raising two boys when her husband was called home early. She planted love in everything she touched, whether it was a house plant that she cultivated or a new friendship.  God blessed her with two children, two grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
 It is hard to let her go even though with her poor health she could no longer enjoy life to the fullest. My mind says: yes, she needs to go home, she is suffering, but my heart doesn’t want to let her go but rather says, “no, no she has to stay, just a little longer!” 
She was rich in the important things of life: family, friends, the joy of everyday things in life -- a good meal, whether she cooked it or ate it at a restaurant, a joke, cheating when playing dominoes with family and friends. She was a good dancer and very much enjoyed dancing at parties and other celebrations. She enjoyed her home to the fullest – whether raking the leaves in the patio, picking fruit from her trees, or simply looking at the blossoming plants. 
In our society, success is measured in material things, such as money, possessions, and careers. But she was enriched with the love of family and friends, and the pleasure of enjoying all the small things of everyday life. 
She was my oldest and dearest friend, and we had always been in touch and we were always very close friends, despite my brother’s death in 1967. She never ceased to be my beloved sister in law.
I will always remember her wonderful kindness and generosity, how she was so prompt to laugh, but most of all, looking into her eyes and seeing her beautiful soul so full of love!
