Lorette Sully

With deep sorrow, we announce the passing of Lorette Sully, age 84, who left this world on November 1, 2024. Born in Borgne, Haiti, to Azer Apollon and Lunie Pierre-Louis (deceased), she was one of five beloved sisters: Fania, Annette, Huguette, and Gracitte.

A remarkable woman, Lorette touched the lives of all who knew her through her strength, faith, and love. As a devoted Roman Catholic, her faith guided her life, shaping her actions with compassion, kindness, and a deep sense of purpose.

As a loving and dedicated mother, she poured her heart into raising her son Gladimyr, nurturing him with unwavering support and teaching him the values of love, respect, and resilience.

Her devotion to family extended beyond her child—affectionately known as "Yoyotte." She was a wonderful sister, aunt "Tatty Yoyotte", cousin, and friend, always there with a listening ear, a caring heart, and a helping hand.

For over 30 years, Lorette worked as a nurse aide, providing compassionate care for older people and helping those most in need during their later years.

A true pioneer, she was an entrepreneur who broke barriers (owning a sewing business in Haiti) and overcame obstacles (one of the first in her generation to get a driver's license), paving the way for others with courage and determination.

In addition to her many roles, she was a talented cake and pastry chef known for her delicious creations and for providing catering services to family and friends. A passionate world traveler, she enjoyed visiting religious and historical sites and spending quiet moments at beaches and parks. She also had a keen eye for fashion and interior design and a natural talent for creating beauty in any space.

Lorette leaves behind her loving child & his wife, Gladimyr and Christine. She is also survived by his beloved sisters, Fania, Annette, Huguette, and Gracitte., and her many nieces and nephews, whom she loved dearly.

Though she is no longer with us, her love and legacy will continue to inspire and guide all who know her May She Rest in Peace
